Wooden Battery Boxes

NHMC made their own wooden battery boxes for their engines. This shows the various battery boxes we are aware of.

Battery boxes were used to hold the battery, friction magneto, coil, ampmeter, tools and oil. For a single engine, they were normally attached to the truck sills at the swivle.
